Visitor Visa Information
From 17 June 2024, all supporting documents submitted with visitor visa applications to Immigration New Zealand (INZ) must be provided in English. Applicants must provide a certified English translation of any documents in a foreign language.
All travellers from 60 visa waiver countries will need to hold an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) before entering the country. While not explicitly labelled as such, New Zealand’s ETA is similar to that of an eVisa. In addition to implementing ETA requirements for all travellers arriving from visa-waiver countries, New Zealand will also implement a new tax on foreign visitors. Here’s what travellers can expect beginning on 1st October.
New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) https://nzeta.immigration.govt.nz/
The fastest way to request your NZeTA is by downloading our free app to your mobile phone. It will take less than 5 minutes to complete your request. The app can scan your passport to instantly upload your details and scan your credit or debit card for ease of payment.
An NZeTA request costs NZD $17 on our free app or NZD $23 if completed online. It will be processed in 72 hours, though many requests will be processed more quickly.
If you are entering New Zealand, you must also pay an IVL, which costs NZD $35. The IVL funds tourism infrastructure and helps protect our natural environment. You must pay the IVL at the same time you request your NZeTA.
You need to provide a photo of your face that meets our requirements for NZeTA photos. You can either upload a recent photo or use your device's camera to take a photo.
